The Centers on the Public Service, officially established in 2011, operates as a school-level, multi-disciplinary unit, organized with school-wide responsibilities under the supervision of the dean. The Centers offers a superior service-oriented environment with an impressive array of research, training and education, outreach, and thought leadership opportunities.

The Centers continues to receive internal support from the university and school; however, most projects are supported through outside funding from a diverse range of agencies, nonprofits, and foundations, including but not limited to:

  • Hewlett Foundation
  • New Venture Fund
  • Smith Richardson Foundation
  • National Governors Association

The Centers has also embraced a number of collaborations. While many are local and national in scope, there are a few internationally based partnerships, including but not limited to:

  • American Society for Public Administration
  • National Academy of Public Administration
  • Republic of Cameroon’s National School of Administration and Magistracy
